We are contacting Choral Societies and Groups throughout the Region to let you know about an exciting Choral Workshop in September. 

Following on from the very popular Workshops we have hosted in the past with John Rutter (and others) we have now arranged for PAUL SPICER to come to work with us at a Workshop on Saturday 26th September 2009 at Congleton Town Hall from 10am to 5pm.

Paul Spicer is a renowned Choir Trainer and Conductor, working with no less than five Choirs in addition to his work as Professor of Choral Conducting at  the Royal College of Music.  You will find a lot of information about Paul and his work on his web site  www.paulspicer.com.    Paul is particularly keen on working with Choirs in Workshops such as the one we are having in Congleton and we feel privileged that he is slotting us in to his extensive program here and abroad.

We will be working on a number of pieces during the day including The Haydn Nelson Mass, some works by Britten and the stunning Easter Oratorio, composed by Paul, with text by the then Dean of Lichfield, Tom Wright.  This work was commissioned by the Choir of Lichfield Cathedral.
