Buxton Musical Society

Let the people sing!

Following the disappointing news that choir rehearsals are limited to six participants despite there now being rapid testing and a vaccine available, members and others might wish to ask their MP why. Here are some facts about the situation that you may find useful.

Mendelssohn Elijah – 5 April

With regret we have had to postpone our performance of Elijah scheduled for 5 April last year due to public health concerns. We have provisionally rescheduled a performance date during next season. Any tickets will remain valid for that date. Any decisions about subsequent performances and rehearsals for members will be communicated via this website.

We look forward to enjoying musicmaking with you in the not too distant future.

Buxton International Festival

Come and Sing Haydn’s The Creation

Due to the cancellation of last year’s Festival, this event was postponed. We apologise and hope that we can arrange the event in the 2022 Festival.
